How to register to become an MTN mobile money Agent or Merchant.

 




To become a MOMO merchant or agent, there are steps you need to take. These steps are to ensure that persons who want to be merchants are not fraud or somehow not trustworthy. They want to make sure the person is genuine. MTN Ghana does this to protect its customers.

Here is the registration process to become a MOMO agent or merchant:

1. Dial *5051#. (With the Business Owner’s MTN subscriber line).
2. Choose Register and press send.
3. Choose the region where you will be operating in and press send.
4. A reference number will be received via SMS.
5. Write the reference number received on the MoMo registration forms.
6. You will be called by an MTN MoMo Agent and after that your location will be visited for inspection.
7. The following forms must be completed and submitted by you for processing:
"Registration Form – Agent/Merchant Form – Must complete with Company details, attach a copy of the business owner’s ID and also attach supporting documents: Business Registration Certificate, Certificate to Commence Business, Certificate of Incorporation, Form 3/Form A/Form C
 

Registration Form – Agent Account handler – Details of individual to handle the account and must attach a copy of any valid photo ID to the form
 

Authentication Questions – Business owner should complete only 10 out of the 21 questions
 

MTN MoMo Merchant Engagement Agreement – Complete and sign
Sim card will be ready within ten (10) working days after receiving all relevant documents from the prospective Merchant."
