To check the mobile money balance, you have to know the shortcode which is *170#.
Now let me take you through the steps involved in checking your wallet balance:
1. Dial *170#.
2. A menu will appear, please choose number 6 and press send.
3. On the My Wallet menu select 1 and press send.
4. Now, you will be asked to enter your MTN mobile money pin; do that and press send.
