MTN Ghana rolled out the free after one promo to prevent users, who enjoy making lots of calls on daily basis, from wasting too much money on airtime.
What is free after one promo? This is an airtime-related mtn Ghana promotion that allows users to only pay for the first minute of a call and can continue talking for the next minutes for free.
When MTN first introduced this promo, it was extremely good and extremely cheap; this is because one can talk up to fifty nine minutes for free after paying for only the first minute of the call. But now, it is quite different.
Why is it different?
It is different because, instead of talking for about fifty nine minutes after paying for only the first minute, you only speak for just ten minutes. Which is not bad at all considering how expensive airtime is nowadays in the country.

To activate or subscribe:
1. Dial the shortcode which is*550#.
2. A pop-up menu will appear; select option 6 and press send.
3. In the next pop-up menu, choose option 1 and press send to activate.
To deactivate MTN free after 1:
1. Dial *550#.
2. Select option six (6).
3. Select option two (2).
